The Bible declares, “Bless the Lord, O my soul… who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases” (Psalm 103:2–3, ESV). Healing is part of the same covenant promise as forgiveness. God’s will to heal reflects His desire to restore what sin and brokenness have damaged.
Jesus revealed the Father’s heart during His earthly ministry. He went about “teaching…preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people” (Matthew 4:23, ESV). Jesus never turned away the sick or afflicted. His actions were not random miracles but demonstrations of God’s will for humanity—restoration and wholeness.
Hebrews 13:8 reminds us: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (ESV). The One who reached out to the leper, who gave sight to the blind, and who raised the lame to walk has not changed. His love and power remain constant.
If it was His will to heal then, it is His will to heal now. We can approach God with faith and confidence, knowing that His heart is to bring healing to our bodies, minds, and spirits. The God of love still heals today.
